History[]
The Snakes are very loyal to the Phoenix and their allies no matter the cost. Usually, the Snakes would spend their time studying in the Fenix Temple's library because they were known as Chima's artists, scientists, and historians. To repay the Snakes for their loyalty, the Phoenix gifted them with the ability to manipulate fire and heat with fire chi. The Snakes look like deep blue cobras with gold markings and fiery red eyes. Generals have no legs, instead having a long tail while lower-ranking members have legs. The Pythons are the main Clan, however the king is a Hypnobari. Some members have their names start with the letter A.
Once, there was a raging war between the five Snake clans, followed by the "Snake Kingdom Prophecy", stating that the war between the Snake clans would end by only one Snake clan remaining and the other Snake clans dying out. Skales's clan was on the verge of losing the war to the Pythons until Skales realized that he and his clan were the true line of Snakes to return to Chima and that Skales was the only Snake able to use the Fury Element. Instead of wiping out the other clans, Skales decided to assimilate the other tribes under his banner and thus let the 5 clans live in peace, thus fulfilling the prophecy.
Known Members[]
- Aspheera (aka Queen/General Skylar): The former leader of the Snake Tribe. Details of her death are widely disputed, but the most prominent theories are that she was either killed by a Insect tribe member or was a Python who was killed during the snake wars.
- Schar: Aspheera's loyal servant. Formerly the Python general until his mysterious vanishing around the time of Pythor's appearance.
- Pythor: The de facto leader of the Pythons, despite not hailing from any of the 5 clans. He later joined the Cyndicate as Nightstalker.
- King Skales: The current leader of the Serpent Tribe. Very smart and reads a lot of books and scrolls.
- Selmia: Skale's wife.
- Sakura: Skales's twin sister.
- Sido (Skales Jr.): Skale's son.
- Slithor: The Snake Tribe blacksmith. Loyal to Skales.
- Serperion: A friend of Slithor.
- Skalador: The Constructai General.
- Adicus: The Venomari General.
- Sarani: A female Venomari Warrior.
- Slithraah: Skale's second-in-command and Hypnobari general.
- Spitta: A Snake soldier.
- Smuldar: A Snake soldier.
- Snike: A Snake scout.
Clans[]
The Snake tribe has 5 clans: the Hypnobari, Constructai, Pythons (who later joined the Cyndicate as "Night Serpents"), Venomari, and the Fangpire. The Hypnobari look like the Pythons, but with grey markings and darker scales; the Venomari are green with dark green markings and 4 yellow eyes, and the Constructai are black with orange markings and yellow eyes.
Fangpires[]
The fangpires usually have their name start with F, and they hide in the shadows as opposed to the other 4 clans.

- Count Fangtom: The leader of the Fangpires. Has 2 heads.
- Fangdam: Fangtom's twin brother, who also has 2 heads.
- Fang-Suei: A Fangpire soldier.
- Snappa: A Fangpire scout.
Night Serpents[]
The Python clan joined Cynderklaw and his allies some time either some time after the Snake War or when they realized that Skales was about to defeat them (reports are hazy at best and highly unreliable). Either way, it is known that they joined to get revenge on Skales and take over the Snake tribe, taking the name "Night Serpents" to distance themselves from their former allegiances.
Trivia[]
- The serpentine usually settle in a smaller realm known as Ninjago. However, they originate from Chima, specifically the Savage Jungle.
